Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been named Premier League Player of the Month for March, Liverpoolfc.com has confirmed.
Salah, who also scooped the PFA Player of the Month award for February, continued his imperious form in that period, scoring 6 goals – including four goals against Watford. He claimed the award ahead of fellow nominees Son Heung-min, Romelu Lukaku, David Silva, Cenk Tosun and Chris Wood.
The Egyptian netted his first goal of the month in a 2-0 win over Newcastle on March 3, before scoring four in the 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield. He also hit the winner against Crystal Palace on the final day of the month at Selhurst Park on March 31.
Salah has now picked up three Player of the Month awards this season following his success in November and February. He is only the sixth player in the Premier League history to have been awarded the honour in consecutive months – following Robbie Fowler, Dennis Bergkamp, Cristiano Ronaldo, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy.
Salah has now scored 39 goals across competitions, 29 of which have come in the Premier League.
Delighted with seeing Salah bag the Premier League Player of the Month award for March, here is how our fans reacted on Twitter.
POTS guaranteed at the end of the season.
