Mohamed Salah has been a revelation for Liverpool this season. Be it the Premier League or Champions League, he has excelled on every single level and has played a key role for us this season. A top contender for the Golden Boot award, the Egyptian marvel has been nothing short of a goalscoring machine.
It comes as no surprise that he has attracted attention from a club like Real Madrid. As per a report from Daily Mail, Los Blancos have been harbouring an interest in him from December.
However, Salah’s £120,000-a-week contract with Liverpool runs for the next four years and given his form, he will certainly not come cheap.
The report claims that Liverpool will not let him leave even if Real shell out a colossal fee of £200million. It remains to be seen if the La Liga giants are even willing to spend that much but since Salah has been so important for Liverpool, it is not advisable for us to even consider letting him leave.
Daily Mail has also stated that Liverpool are keen on making Salah a central figure at the club. Our attack has been absolutely sensational this term and that comes down mainly to the Egyptian’s influence.
Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino deserve a lot of credit as well but Salah has undeniably played a big role in getting us to where we are today.
Thus, it is indeed encouraging to learn that Liverpool are determined to make him stay. If we are to restore our former glory, we need a player like Salah. He is everything we have lacked in recent years and with Jurgen Klopp in charge, the future does seem bright.
