Fiorentina have placed a price tag on Federico Chiesa, who is a Liverpool transfer target for the upcoming summer window. If we are to acquire his services, we will have to shell out a sum of £44million, according to Corriere dello Sport (h/t Daily Express).
The report has claimed that the Italian outfit are pretty determined to get that amount or more and will not settle for anything less than that.
Chiesa, primarily a winger, has been one of the most lethal attackers in the Serie A this season. Despite being just 20 years of age, the player has managed to establish his reputation in Europe and Daily Express claims that there are a few other Premier League clubs harbouring an interest in him.
In 36 appearances across competitions this term, Chiesa has contributed a total of 9 goals and 3 assists so far. He can play in a variety of attacking and midfield positions. He is equally adept at playing on either wing and was also deployed as a central striker in one of the games.
At Liverpool, the likes of Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah have dominated the wide attacking spots but to compete on a greater level, Jurgen Klopp will need added depth up front.
Next season, the stakes will be higher for Liverpool and our gaffer should look to bring in adequate reinforcements to combat that. Chiesa seems like an interesting target for us but he might have to forego the prospect of playing regularly.
