Mohamed Salah

It goes without saying that Mohamed Salah has been nothing short of a revelation for Liverpool this season. Despite arriving at Anfield on a low-profile transfer last summer, the Egyptian has gone on to establish himself as one of the best players in the Premier League, if not Europe.

With such prolific performances, attention from big clubs is bound to follow. In recent times, Salah has been linked with a move to join La Liga giants Real Madrid but if a report from The Mirror is to be believed, Salah has put his foot down and committed his long-term future to Liverpool.

He recently picked up the Liverpool’s Player Of The Season award and speaking at the ceremony, Salah put all speculation to rest by confirming that he will not go anywhere this summer.

“I’m very happy here and everything is fine. I have got ambitions for the future, with Liverpool.

“We had a great season and now we are in the Champions League final, and everyone is excited. It is just the start. This is my first year here and it is the same for some other players.

“We have had an unbelievable year. It is just the beginning,” said Salah.

Like always, Salah then praised his teammates and gave them credit for his performances this term.

Well, that does come as music to the ears of several fans worldwide. Jurgen Klopp has effectively built the team around our front trio comprising of Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino. This system has worked so far and it has also gotten us a huge step closer to winning the Champions League, provided we beat defending champions Real Madrid in the final.

All said and done, the only way we can pick up the coveted trophy is with Salah in our squad and it is great to learn that the Egyptian loves Liverpool as much as we love him!
