Mootaz Chehade is a quite a big name in the footballing community. He is a journalist who works with the VAVEL network and he recently tweeted out a piece of information that will undoubtedly be interesting for Liverpool fans.
Chehade took to his Twitter account to state that Liverpool are in advanced talks with Lyon regarding a deal for Nabil Fekir, which was later followed with a tweet claiming that the deal is done.
After delighting us with the signings of Naby Keita and Fabinho, it looks like the club management is getting ready to gift us another sensational player.
Fekir essayed a key role for Lyon in their attempt to secure a 3rd-place finish in the Ligue 1 last season. An attacking midfielder by trade, Fekir’s pace and creativity set him apart from his competitors and he is quite a goalscoring machine as well.

Over the course of the previous campaign, Fekir scored 23 goals and provided 9 assists across competitions. According to Squawka, Fekir also created a total of 52 chances in 26 Ligue 1 appearances, which goes on to show that the player could work wonders with the likes of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino up front.
Chehade has a decent reputation among football fans when it comes to breaking transfer news stories and let’s hope he is right about this one. If Fekir were to join Liverpool, suffice to say that Jurgen Klopp would have assembled a formidable midfield trio ahead of the new season.
