Liverpool target Alisson has stated that his future could be decided before the start of the World Cup. The AS Roma man has been linked with a big-money move away from the Serie A club while his club wants close to £79million for the 25-year-old.
However, the Brazilian No.1 wants his future resolved in the next few days as he was quoted by The Express as saying:
“I think everything will be resolved before the start of the World Cup, that’s what I want. The truth is that I left everything in the hands of my agent.”
The keeper also went on to state that should things not take place within the week, there would be discussions after the World Cup.
Alisson also added that while he is focussed on the World Cup, there are some “possibilities” that are being worked upon, with Roma also in the mix.
Jurgen Klopp has been looking to add a new keeper to Liverpool after the mistakes by Loris Karius in the Champions League final against Madrid.
The German has made Alisson as his number one target this summer but the price mooted by Roma could make things difficult for the Reds.
Alisson has been one of the best keepers in the world in recent years and had another great season with his club as they went to the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Roma already have a history of negotiating with Liverpool as they sold Mohamed Salah to us at the start of last season. They might want to get as much money as they can this time around.
Hopefully, Alisson’s future can be resolved in the upcoming days and he does become a Liverpool player as he is better than our current keepers.
