Liverpool’s hopes of signing Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha have been significantly boosted after reports from Italy suggest the Serie A side is willing to sell the 23-year-old.

Corriere della Sera (h/t The Express) claims that the chief of the Serie A club, Claudio Lotito is ready to sell the Albanian after learning about offers of £22m and £26m.

The Albanian did help Lazio finish 5th in the Serie A as the Rome side missed out on Champions League places but they seem to have found a replacement for the 23-year-old with Marco Sportiello of Atalanta.

The Reds are also facing competition from Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen as they seem destined to lose Bernd Leno. While we moved swiftly to sign Fabinho, we still have not been finalised who our keeper would be for next season.

Loris Karius had a disaster Champions League final and we have been linked with Alisson. However, Roma seem to be looking for a huge value for Alisson and Real Madrid are in the race for the Brazilian keeper.

Hopefully, we will bring in more players before the end of the transfer window. The Albanian might not be on top of everyone’s wish list and he would be a bit of a risk given that he has not played in the Premier League.

We have had a pretty good record of our transfers under Jurgen Klopp, however, his decisions with the goalkeepers have not worked for us yet as Simon Mignolet has not performed well and we all know what happened with Karius lately.
