Bobby Duncan has become the latest youngster to have signed a deal with Liverpool, according to the Telegraph. The former Manchester City youngster will sign a professional contract with us and become a Liverpool player officially on the 1st of July. The Reds would have to pay around £200,000
to land the 17-year-old.There has been an impasse with City regarding the player’s future as he had been training away from the side in the last few months, however, he has still represented the country.
Duncan also stated that it was a difficult decision to move away from the club he has been with for the past six years.
“It was a difficult decision for me and my family but the time is right for a new challenge and fulfil my dreams and potential elsewhere.”
One interesting bit of information is that Duncan is the cousin of Steven Gerrard
and there had been murmurs throughout the season that the youngster would move to Anfield when our former captain was managing the U18 side.We already have Rhian Brewster and Harry Wilson looking to break into the first-team and it will be interesting to see how Duncan fits into the grand scheme of things.
