Lionel Messi does not want former Barcelona star Neymar to return to the Nou Camp next season and instead wants the Catalan giants to sign Mohamed Salah.

El Gol Digital (h/t The Express) claims that the Argentine star is still upset over how Neymar left Barcelona last season for Paris Saint-Germain.

Even though the Brazilian wants a move away from the Paris club to rejoin Barcelona, Messi wants the Catalan club to slam the door shut for the 26-year-old and instead sign Salah from Liverpool.

Salah did have a spectacular season for us as he won the Golden Boot in the Premier League and also led us to a Champions League final against Real Madrid.

The Egyptian didn’t have a great World Cup where his side could not win any of their games but he scored for the national side in their losses against Saudi Arabia and Russia.

It should not be a surprise that Messi does not want Neymar back at Barcelona after the stunt he pulled off last summer to move to Paris. Neymar did win the Ligue 1 title but again failed to do much with his team in the Champions League.

Salah would fit into any side in the world based on current form but we would make it difficult for anyone to think about signing him.

The former AS Roma man still has a long contract with us and it would probably take a huge fee, possibly even greater than Neymar’s to even get us thinking about selling him.
