According to Liverpool ECHO, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has two names on his transfer wishlist — Stoke City’s Xherdan Shaqiri and Gent’s Moses Simon.
The Reds have already signed Fabinho and Naby Keita and were on the verge of completing a deal for Nabil Fekir, only for the deal to collapse in the 11th hour earlier this month. Regardless, Liverpool must definitely bring in a few more recruits to challenge Manchester City for the title next term.
Shaqiri, 26, is currently on international duty at the World Cup and he has been one of the bright spots for Switzerland so far. And after Stoke’s relegation to the Championship, Shaqiri is available at just £12million.
Apart from the stocky Swiss ace, Klopp is interested in Gent star Moses Simon, who also impressed at the World Cup in Russia. However, he was unable to guide Nigeria to the knockout stages of the mega event.

We already have a potent attack in Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane but they are not enough to win us the title next term. Our team needs more firepower and squad depth if we are to challenge for the Premier League title and make an impact in Europe.
Hence, Klopp should pursue a deal for Shaqiri as the 26-year-old is a proven star in the Premier League. Also, the Swiss ace would certainly be a fantastic option to have on the bench when required.
