Liverpool are ready to move for Julian Brandt, according to Calcio Insider (h/t Daily Star). The German was one of the few bright spots for Germany in the World Cup and the Reds want to increase their attacking options next season.
Brandt only made three substitute appearances for the 2014 World Cup winners but had a better season with Bayer Leverkusen as he scored 9 times and provided 3 assists for the club.
The 22-year-old has a contract with the Bundesliga club until 2021, however, Brandt is a bright player and could turn out to be a great signing for us next season. We have already signed a couple of players in Naby Keita and Fabinho but we do need another option in our attack.
Currently, we have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino but we don’t have many options for wingers in the side.
Brandt is one of the highly rated players in the Bundesliga and can only get better with time. The 22-year-old can play anywhere in the attack and will certainly give us various ways to use him next season.
The German would find it tough to break into our starting XI right from the go and he might have to spend some time on the bench.

Brandt will get his chances to shine in the cup games and maybe in the Champions League too and if he performs to his ability, he could become one of the stars next season for us.
