AC Milan’s financial issues could see them sell a couple of players with Gianluigi Donnarumma being linked with Liverpool.

Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato) claims that the club is short of financial resources to sign new players this summer.

To that end, Milan could sell Donnarumma to make enough money to bring fresh players into the club. However, no bids have been made for the 19-year-old keeper but his agent, Mino Raiola, wants the young Italian to move to a top club.

Liverpool were in the market for a keeper but Jurgen Klopp has indicated that we will continue with Loris Karius as our first-choice next season.

Donnarumma would be an excellent signing for us but his price tag will certainly be high. Knowing Klopp, he would be unwilling to spend a crazy amount on a teenager.

Milan do need help after getting barred from competing in Europe next season and selling their assets is the only way forward.

However, we have to be careful with how much we spend on a new keeper. Maybe playing the waiting game, like we did for Naby Keita and Virgil van Dijk, is the right way to go about it.

The Reds seem to be missing just one or two pieces from their title-challenging puzzle and a goalkeeper is certainly one of those.
