Alisson

Jurgen Klopp has revealed when we would be able to see Liverpool’s newest acquisition, Alisson, on the pitch.

The Brazilian had joined the Reds from AS Roma for a world-record fee but is away on holiday after his World Cup excursions.

Liverpool have played with Loris Karius as their goalkeeper in most of their pre-season games but Klopp was quoted by the Evening Standard that Alisson could be in goal when we face Napoli on 4th August.

“He had a long year and as Brazil’s number one, it was quite an intense year, so I sent him on holiday again… I would say he plays in Dublin (against Napoli).”

The manager also added that Alisson was “desperate” to play for the Reds after sealing his switch from the Serie A.

“He is desperate to play. He could have joined us here in America but it made absolutely no sense.”

There is no doubt that Alisson will replace Karius as our No.1 this season and it will be important to see just how much of a change the Brazilian brings to the side as he is expected to do a stellar job for us this season.

The former AS Roma man could be the difference for us as we look to cut out the errors at the back and also some of the silly goals we have conceded in earlier campaigns.

All eyes will be on the Brazilian when he takes up the gloves on 4th August and hopefully, he will do a bang up job for us in the coming season and more.
