Alisson should be joining us for pre-season training shortly after his break ends and the new goalkeeper has suggested that he would want to take the No.1 jersey at Liverpool this season.
The Brazilian was on a flight and he shared an Instagram post where he shared the tag “#AB1”.
The problem lies with the fact that Loris Karius uses the No.1 jersey while Simon Mignolet uses 22, which he has done for a while.
The German keeper is more or less expected to be replaced by Alisson as our first-choice keeper but there is no confirmation about who takes the No.1 jersey ahead of the season.
Karius has had a poor time in recent weeks and has even hit out at the critics on social media and it would be a bit of a blow for him to lose the number to Alisson.
The Brazilian, for his part, would want to use the number and this decision could be something that Jurgen Klopp has to be careful about.

The last thing the manager would want to do is harm the confidence of Karius but not giving the number to Alisson would also be a sticky situation.
