According to ESPN FC pundit Paul Mariner, Christian Pulisic should turn down any move this summer and stay put at Borussia Dortmund for one more season. But Mariner also insisted that if Pulisic is nearing an exit, he should move to Liverpool. (h/t the ECHO)
“Looking at it purely and simply from the player’s viewpoint, I’d stay at Dortmund for another year,” Mariner, former Ipswich Town and Arsenal striker said. (h/t the ECHO)
“But if I was going to go, I’d go to Liverpool.
“He knows Klopp, Klopp knows him, he’d be fantastic to come in and out for (Sadio) Mane and (Mohamed) Salah.
“I think that would be a better move.”
There is a lot of talk surrounding Pulisic’s future with Chelsea. The Blues have been heavily linked with a move for the USA forward this summer. Pulisic has established himself as one of the sought-after youngsters in Europe after a series of dazzling displays in the Bundesliga with Borussia Dortmund in the last couple of seasons.
Pulisic, who scored four times and provided six assists in the Bundesliga last season, has two years remaining on his current contract at Signal Iduna Park.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has also worked with the USA sensation before, having coached him during his Dortmund days. And it won’t be a surprise if Pulisic decides to join Klopp’s forces at Liverpool but currently, I echo Mariner’s sentiments.
Pulisic has been dubbed America’s wonder kid and at the age of 19, he has quickly risen to stardom for both club and country. He has achieved a lot at such a tender age and it’s not hard to see why there is such a buzz about him.

The Reds might have signed a number of players this summer but a future move for the American star cannot be ruled out.
