Liverpool thrashed Napoli 5-0 in yet another successful pre-season clash. Jurgen Klopp‘s men ran riot as the Italian club failed to keep pace. Ultimately, we walked away with a scintillating win but more than anything else, it all came down to our new man between the sticks – Alisson Becker.
After months of pursuit, Liverpool finally got to sign the Brazilian sensation and he maintained a clean sheet in his first game for the Reds. His passing and distribution skills were on full display as he supplied a brilliant 35-yard diagonal ball to Mohamed Salah, who wasted no time in converting that to a goal.
Alisson also denied a strike from Lorenzo Insigne and all in all, it was a great game for the new arrival. It will be interesting to see how he fares against the big boys in the Premier League but from what we have seen so far, the future does look bright.
