Football finance expert Kieran Maguire has revealed to the Daily Star that Liverpool could sign Christian Pulisic and loan him back to Borussia Dortmund.
The expert also claimed that the American winger could be the difference in our Premier League chase and we still have a lot of money from our exploits in the Champions League and the sale of Philippe Coutinho.
“Liverpool are almost there in terms of their Premier League chances and Pulisic could make that difference”, Maguire said to the Daily Star.
“Klopp may try to buy him and loan him back to Borussia Dortmund to get some more experience. The asking price is around £45-50m and in today’s market that is not excessive.”
The expert who lectures at Liverpool University also added that the owners of the club are looking to provide ample support.
Pulisic is one of the best players in the Bundesliga and at 19, he has a number of years left at the top level. Jurgen Klopp’s side did face Borussia Dortmund in the International Champions Cup and were beaten, thanks to an inspired performance from the 19-year-old.
However, there is very little time for us to make a move for the American in this window. Maguire might be right in suggesting we could do a loan deal for the American.

If Pulisic does arrive, we would certainly have an incredible attack which could wreak havoc in the Premier League for a number of years.
