Reputed journalist Neil Jones has tweeted that Pedro Chirivella is a target for Celtic and is being lined up on a permanent deal by the Scottish champions.
Brendan Rodgers would know a thing or two about Chirivella from his time as Liverpool manager. Jones also added that the young defender had rejected a move to Rosenborg even though a deal had been agreed for the player.
Chirivella took part in a few of our pre-season games but the 21-year-old has spent a lot of time on loan, with spells at Dutch clubs Go Ahead Eagles and Willem II.
Celtic are keen on signing midfielder @pedrochb97 from #LFC – a deal had been agreed with Rosenborg last week but the player rejected the move.

The 21-year-old made five appearances for us in the 2015/16 season, with just one Premier League appearance to his name.
This would be a decent move for Chirivella as he would get to play top level football and work with Rodgers, who has done a fine job at Celtic after leaving Liverpool.
It will be interesting to see how much momey we receive for the 21-year-old and hopefully, it will be a decent sum even despite the youngster not playing a lot of first-team football for the Reds.
