The Yorkshire Post claims that Leeds United could be looking to sign Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic – but only if they miss out on another Merseyside midfielder.
The report adds that Middlesbrough and Leeds are interested in signing Muhamed Besic from Everton and should Leeds miss out on the Toffees’ star, Grujic could be the player that Marcelo Bielsa’s side move for.
Bielsa has seen his side start the Championship in fine form with two wins from their first two games and Grujic could be a great option for the team in the Championship.
While Premier League sides cannot buy any players, they can still send players to other clubs and hopefully, this will only be a loan deal for the Serbian midfielder.
Grujic was also on loan at Cardiff City last season as he helped them make it to the Premier League. The Serb was linked with a move back to Cardiff (h/t Express) but a deal could not be completed.
It would be difficult for Grujic to get regular playing time at Anfield this season, thanks to the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.
We also have a number of other midfielders such as James Milner, Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum to boot.

Grujic needs playing time and maybe working under Bielsa could make him a better player. Leeds seem to be on the up, at least for now, and sending Grujic to the Championship side does make more sense than keeping him with us.
