Sadio Mane has scored in our opening Premier League games and has celebrated rather modestly compared to last season.

The Senegal international was seen copying some of the players’ celebrations in the background in our previous campaign. One example was Mane copying the “kung fu” kicks behind Roberto Firmino, another was him doing the “machine gun” celebration, started by the Brazilian again.

However, the former Southampton star has claimed that players end up copying his celebrations.

Speaking to Copa90 (h/t Daily Star), the winger said he started the kick celebration:

“The fans deserve to know the truth. Firmino copies me, not me copying him!.

“The kick was me. We try it in training. He scored and I was behind him, and he did it.”

The winger even spoke about a celebration done with former Liverpool star Philippe Coutinho and Firmino.

“The dance with Philippe and Bobby was mine too!”

Mane has started the season brightly and with three goals in two games and the attacker seems set to break his scoring record from last season.

The Senegal star bagged 20 goals in all competitions, with him scoring 10 each in the Champions League and the Premier League.

Mane might not have done any of “his” celebrations so far this season but we should see some of them if he keeps banging the goals in for fun.
