A Mohamed Salah goal in the first half was enough to give Liverpool the three points against Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield.
The win ensured Liverpool finished the Saturday on top of the table but the game could have been made safer had we taken our chances.
Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino all had chances to score but it was the Egyptian’s second goal of the season in the 23rd minute that was the difference.
Liverpool named the same side as the one from the first two games but Brighton troubled us in the second half and Alisson had to be on guard to keep the score at 1-0.
The Brazilian had a fantastic flick over a Brighton forward and Alisson also saved a late header from Pascal Gross.
The Reds seem to be grinding out the results at the start of the season and a number of Liverpool fans reacted to Alisson’s flicks and saves from the game.
