James Milner notched up another landmark in our 2-1 win over Leicester at King Power Stadium. The Englishman’s corner was headed in by Roberto Firmino and that was Milner’s 80th Premier League assist.
The former Aston Villa midfielder is in the form of his life and the Liverpool Echo reports Milner is tied with David Beckham in seventh place in the all-time assist rankings.
The only other active player on the list is Cesc Fabregas of Chelsea. The Spaniard lies second on the list with 111 assists to his name, as per the report.
Milner would find it tough to match the record held by Manchester United’s Ryan Giggs, who notched up 162 assists. The Englishman could overtake legendary Red Steven Gerrard, who has just 12 more assists to his name, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Milner has always given it his all for Liverpool and even though he is 32, the Englishman is putting up incredible performances.
A few Liverpool fans caught hold of the latest milestone in his career and were full of praise for the former Manchester City man.
