Liverpool list changes around Anfield in hopes of approval for music concert plans

Liverpool Echo reports that the Reds are planning to make a number of changes to ensure music concerts take place at Anfield.

The report adds that a proposal to host major sporting events was knocked down by the city council’s planning committee but the club have been asked to demonstrate how it will take into account the concerns of the nearby residents regarding musical events.

Liverpool wanted to host 10 music concerts which will feature crowds of up to 50,000 at Anfield and the report

adds that the club will make efforts to ensure the proposal gets passed.

Changes expected around Anfield

The club will help fund CCTV coverage around the stadium area in lieu of anti-social behaviour, as per the report.

The report adds that the club will hire an RLM (Residents’ Liaison Manager) who will speak to residents and solve issues on match days while also looking into other concerns when games/events aren’t being played.

Our publicity programme is being looked into so that it respects the residents of the area while a ward councillor forum has been set up for residents to share their concerns, as per the report.

The club will also provide 25 pairs of free tickets for all major events to those living in the area, as per the report

.

Should the planning commission agree to our plans, a temporary permission for a two-year period will be pushed by the club to determine whether conducting events can be feasible, as per the report.
