Mane and Salah to start: Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool XI to face Tottenham

The Premier League returns with Liverpool facing Tottenham at Wembley. The Reds are the joint league leaders after four games and have a perfect record.

Jurgen Klopp’s men have conceded just one goal all season but we haven’t clicked into gear. Tottenham, for their part, lost their previous game against Watford.

The Reds shouldn’t have too many injury concerns from the international break. Although a number of Liverpool players were away on international duty, some of them were rested by their respective national sides.

The last time we faced Tottenham at Wembley, Spurs came out 4-1 victors. However, this time, we could come out with all three points if we play to our potential.

Liverpool shouldn’t make too many changes and here is our predicted line-up for the Reds.

Alisson (GK)

Alisson made an error in the 2-1 win over Leicester City but the Brazilian must aim to pick up his fourth clean sheet of the season.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB)

The youngster played for England in their 1-0 win over Switzerland and should keep his spot in the Liverpool team.

Joe Gomez (CB)

Gomez has been incredible for us since the start of the season. He will have his hands full facing Harry Kane and it will be a real battle between the Englishmen.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The Dutchman has been a rock at the back and should continue in the heart of our defence in this big clash.

Andy Robertson (LB)

The new Scotland captain is the best left-back in the league and there is no reason for him to be dropped for this clash.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

Wijnaldum has been immense for us from the first game of the season and he should keep his spot in the team.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

Henderson hasn’t looked his best for the Reds but this game could see the best of our captain.

James Milner (CM)

The English midfielder has only gotten better with each game this season and his experience will be key in keeping the Spurs midfield in check.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane has been the main man for us this season with four goals to his name. The former Saint will have to be at his best to ensure we pick up three points at Wembley.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

Firmino was on the subs’ bench when Brazil faced El Salvador and he should be fresh enough to start for the Reds.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah wasn’t all that sharp in our last game but the Egyptian has a couple of goals to his name this season. What better occasion to increase that tally than against Spurs!
