The Liverpool Echo reports that Kai McKenzie-Lyle has joined the Reds on a permanent deal.

The report adds that the 6 ft 7 in keeper was on trial at Liverpool in July and even got a game for the U23s against Hungarian side ETO Gyor.

McKenzie-Lyle plays for Guyana and posted an image of the deal on Twitter too.

The 20-year-old has played for a number of sides such as Cockfosters, St Ives Town and Hayes & Yeading United. The former Barnet man even scored in a match against Suriname as he came up for a corner.

The youngster joins a host of keepers at Liverpool and should provide some competition to Kamil Grabara and Caoimhin Kelleher.

It will take some time before we get to see the Guyana keeper come out for the first-team but some Liverpool fans were excited with our new signing.
