Mohamed Salah didn’t score in Liverpool’s thrilling 3-2 win over Paris Saint-Germain. Instead, he almost cost us the game.

The former Roma attacker gave the ball away as PSG scored their equalizer in the 83rd minute. However, Roberto Firmino saved us with an incredible goal in stoppage time.

A video surfaced of Salah throwing a bottle after Firmino’s goal. Although the Egyptian celebrated the winner, he was seen flinging a bottle away.

Rio Ferdinand hinted this wasn’t frustration and claimed the Liverpool attacker had his own way of celebrating. The former Manchester United defender was quoted by the Metro saying:

“I think Salah’s celebrating in his own way. His hands were up at the beginning of that. The first picture [shows] his hands were up [celebrating].”

Salah hasn’t been at his best since the start of the season and only has a couple of goals to his name. Sadio Mane has taken up the scoring mantle in his place and has five goals to his name while Firmino now has three.

The Egyptian might have felt relieved at the winner. However, the 25-year-old was responsible for Kylian Mbappe’s goal and his muted celebration could be ominous for the opposition in the coming weeks.

Salah has been taking shots and finding the open spaces but things aren’t going well for him. There is no doubt that once he starts scoring regularly, there will be no stopping him. All he needs is a bit of luck this season.
