It is a little disheartening to know that Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will not be playing a lot of football this season.
The former Arsenal man is recovering from knee ligament damage he picked up last season. The Ox had a slow start to his Liverpool career but he was just on the verge of peaking before getting injured against AS Roma in the Champions League.
The midfielder is upbeat about his recovery, however, and has regularly posted updates about his road back to fitness.
His latest video on Instagram sees the 25-year-old taking up some boxing as he works hard on his return.

The Englishman had recorded three goals and seven assists from 14 Premier League starts for us last season and he would have played an important role this season too.
The midfielder has seen Liverpool start the season in fantastic fashion with seven wins in a row. The Reds lead the Premier League table by two points but there is a long way to go before we can dream about winning the title.

The Ox must be bolstered by how Danny Ings and Joe Gomez have returned from long-term injuries. The Englishman still has a lot of potential and could be a star for us next season.
