Liverpool star Roberto Firmino wants the club to pick up trophies under Jurgen Klopp. The Brazilian was one of the stars from last season with 27 goals and believes that Klopp has had an incredible impact at Anfield.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the forward was quoted as saying:
“We’ve been doing well, we made a good start under him and we’re dreaming big. We want to keep working hard and win trophies.
“I’m very happy under him and think he’s an incredible coach. I’ve learnt so much from him and that doesn’t only apply to me, but to the whole team. I think he’s excellent.”
Liverpool’s next game is against Manchester City on Sunday and our forward spoke about last season’s 4-3 win over Pep Guardiola’s men.
“It was incredible. It was an amazing game which we managed to win. The adrenaline, combined with the atmosphere on the pitch during such special games, is always incredible. It was sensational.”
The Reds have made a fantastic start to the season with six wins and a draw but facing City will be a stern test on Sunday.
The Brazilian claimed the club wants to win trophies but we have to stay grounded since the season has just begun.
Firmino added: “We’re taking it step by step, trying to play well and win games. We’re just looking ahead and will see where that takes us.”
