Liverpool are interested in bidding for rising Serie A star Krzysztof Piatek, according to Calciomercato (h/t Express).
The Polish striker has bagged 13 goals from just eight games this season and is the leading scorer in the league with nine goals.
The 23-year-old also had a memorable Coppa Italia outing as he scored four past Lecce at the start of the season.
Piatek joined Genoa this summer after moving from Polish club Cracovia. The striker bagged 32 goals from 65 games for his old club and has a number of admirers.
The report claims Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Barcelona are interested in the £30m-rated striker. The report adds that a bid close to the £35million we paid for Mohamed Salah last season could be enough to get Piatek.
Liverpool have pulled off two brilliant deals from the Serie A in recent years. Salah was the player of the season last time around, and Alisson has started his Anfield career in brilliant fashion.
Piatek could be a decent option as a back-up for Roberto Firmino and Daniel Sturridge. The English striker is nearing 30 while Firmino needs to be rested from time to time.

The 23-year-old isn’t the finished product yet. However, if he keeps scoring at this rate, there will be more suitors for the Polish striker in the coming weeks.
