Mohamed Salah got the only goal of the game in Liverpool’s 1-0 win over Huddersfield. The Egyptian got the goal in the first half but the Reds didn’t finish off the game like many expected.
The former AS Roma man was on a bit of a goal drought, but expertly finished Xherdan Shaqiri’s pass to score past Jonas Lossl.
The Liverpool star scored 44 times for us last season but this was just his fourth goal of the campaign. Salah was the match winner on Saturday and BBC pundit Gary Lineker came out in support.
Salah scores. He’s a proper player not a flash in the pan. All goal-scorers, however good they are, go through spells where it doesn’t happen for them.

Liverpool have started the Premier League season well but aren’t playing the brilliant attacking football from last season.
The Reds are tied at the top of the table with Manchester City but our goal difference is inferior to that of the Cityzens.
Salah might start scoring goals for fun now but Lineker’s tweet divided opinion amongst the fans.
Salah can do no wrong whatever he does as far as the media are concerned. A total lovefest.

He will never replicate last season’s goalscoring form ever again in his life.

To be fair he has had 1 good season and he is 26 years old. No chance Liverpool get him for 30M from Roma if he was always as good as last season…still very good player though

Exactly mate. My current goal drought has lasted 25 years though

Applies to all sports Gary, confidence is the all important be all and end all, Class is permanent, but it goes out of the window when your coordination stops somewhere in the middle, and you don’t know why, or how to fix it, relief when normal service resumes.

Form is temporary. Class is permanent. And he is class….

He’s scored 4 league goals in 9 games. Not bad for a bad spell.

Please can you increase the volume so that the “critics” can hear it louder from behind? 😁😁😁😁😁
