Fabinho Liverpool

Jurgen Klopp has backed Fabinho’s qualities and believes the Brazilian will come good as he is adjusting to a different system at Liverpool.

The Reds signed the midfielder at the start of the season, but Fabinho has just one start to his name so far. That came in the 2-1 loss to Chelsea in the Carabao Cup, and the Brazilian also made an appearance in our win over Huddersfield at the weekend.

Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita are nursing injuries and Fabinho could start against Red Star Belgrade.

Klopp was asked if the game against Red Star was Fabinho’s big chance and the German was quoted by Sky Sport as saying:

“Yes, of course, no doubt about that. It’s clear.

“It’s his birthday [on Tuesday] by the way, so it would be a nice present, eh?

The manager did claim that he hadn’t made up his mind on who to play against the Serbians.

The German added that the player had to adapt to our playing style but now seems good on the pitch. Klopp added that watching a few YouTube videos were enough to learn about the Brazilian’s talent.

Fabinho Liverpool

The Liverpool manager listed out the qualities of the former Monaco star and knew that he needs time to get better.

“You see all the qualities. Hard challenger, good in one-on-one situations, offensively, defensively quick, good shooter, fantastic set-pieces, good header, all these things. Strategically good in the right moment.

“But, in a different system, and a different way we play, just different, and that’s what then always needs time to adapt, that’s all.”

The game against Red Star is a must win for Liverpool, and it will be interesting to see how much Klopp rotates the side.

Liverpool need the three points on Wednesday and hopefully, Fabinho plays a huge role in us getting the win.
