£52.75m Liverpool star’s younger brother trains at the club’s academy

Naby Keita

Liverpool star Naby Keita’s younger brother Petit Keita is training with the Liverpool academy, according to Sky Sports. Petit has been taking part in the sessions at the club’s facility after leaving fifth division German club, Inter Leipzig.

However, he is not officially a part of Liverpool yet, nor is he on trial at the club. Elder brother Naby joined the Reds only in the summer and has made 8 appearances so far.

The 23-year-old is sidelined with a hamstring injury right now and missed our 4-0 demolition of Red Star Belgrade. Nevertheless, he is making good progress and should be back in action soon.

Whether we sign Petit Keita for our academy is a different story, but it is important that Naby comes back to full fitness soon.

He is an important player considering the fact that our midfield looks completely different with him on the pitch. He has the ability to become a midfield stalwart and Klopp must make full use of the Guinean.

Though Naby has a £52.75m

price tag on his head, it doesn’t seem to have affected his gameplay and we’re lucky to have such a talented midfielder in our ranks. If Keita succeeds in fulfilling his potential, then the investment would look like a bargain for sure.
