Liverpool are interested in French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, and Mundo Deportivo (h/t Express) claims that we are leading the chase for the Paris Saint-Germain star.
The 23-year-old is a free agent at the end of the season, and Barcelona are also interested in the midfielder, as per the report.
The Ligue 1 giants are trying to tie the youngster down to a new contract, but the report claims a move away from the Parc des Princes seems likely for the 23-year-old.
It would be a great move if we can sign the talented youngster up, especially on a cut-price or a free at the end of the season.
Liverpool did sign a couple of quality midfielders in the summer with Fabinho and Naby Keita coming in. The pair has done relatively well since moving to Anfield, however, the report adds that the Brazilian could play a role in this deal.
Fabinho isn’t happy at Anfield, according to the report, and PSG could reignite their interest in a player they wanted in the summer.
Rabiot to Anfield wouldn’t be bad but he shouldn’t be viewed as a replacement for Fabinho. The Brazilian has done well in the games against Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff City and seems to be getting better with each game under his belt.
It will be interesting to see how things progress with the Frenchman as the report adds Jurgen Klopp isn’t looking to make any huge moves in the winter window.
