James Milner scores for Liverpool against Arsenal

Liverpool and Arsenal played out an entertaining 1-1 draw at the Emirates as both teams had chances to get the three points.

The Gunners were unbeaten in their last 12 games, while Liverpool hadn’t lost in the Premier League this season.

James Milner opened the scoring in the second half with a smart finish after Bernd Leno made a mistake. Alexandre Lacazette equalised late on to hand Arsenal a deserved point, but it could have been more for either side.

Virgil van Dijk had a couple of quality chances but couldn’t find the back of the net, and we had a legitimate Sadio Mane goal ruled out for offside.

On the other hand, Arsenal had their chances but poor finishing kept us in the game. The point gained might not look great at the moment, but this was a quality team at the Emirates, and we got something from the game without playing at our best.

The point keeps us on the top of the Premier League until Chelsea and Manchester City play their respective games on Sunday, however, some fans were certain we should have gotten more from our trip and weren’t happy with the performance.
