Ousmane Dembele’s agent, Moussa Sissoko, has claimed that the Frenchman is not looking to leave Barcelona.

Calciomercato reports that the Barcelona star was linked with a move to Liverpool, however, Sissoko was speaking to RMC Sport about the future of the 21-year-old.

Mundo Deportivo (h/t Calciomercato) quoted Sissoko as saying:

“The club is happy with Ousmane.

“Dembele doesn’t care about criticisms. Some of them are unfair. He is 20, he plays for Barcelona and he had a great start to the season.”

The agent further claimed that the player has to do better and the Frenchman was sick for a while which led to a few controversies.

Sissoko added that the national team manager and Barcelona’s Eric Abidal were happy with the attacker.

“Ousmane keeps working for a big club, the manager likes him and the same goes for Deschamps. I know Abidal is also very happy with how he is training and working for his club.”

Dembele seems to be doing better when compared to the same time frame last season. The Frenchman has scored four goals from 11 La Liga games and has one from two Champions League ties.

The former Borussia Dortmund player would be an amazing signing for the Reds, but we would have to pay a huge amount to sign him from Barcelona.

The 21-year-old would certainly improve our attack, and it will be interesting to see what our activity would be in the winter window.
