Jurgen Klopp could plan a raid for one star player from the Bundesliga, according to the Express.
Kerem Demirbay has been incredible for Hoffenheim since moving to the club, and the report claims Klopp wants to sign the attacking midfielder in the winter window.
The 25-year-old is a known element to Klopp as he came through the youth system at Borussia Dortmund before joining Hamburg.
The report adds that signing the player could be easy as the 25-year-old has the same management company as Sadio Mane and Naby Keita, both Liverpool players.
Liverpool don’t have an out-and-out attacking midfielder and getting someone in the January window makes sense.
The Reds have started the season well but our attack seems to be missing one element, which could be filled by Demirbay.
The 25-year-old hasn’t been great this season but joining Klopp could be the kick-start he needs. Liverpool have had some great transfers under their manager, and we could do with someone like Demirbay coming into the club.
The German is great with free-kicks and is known for his ability to unlock defences too. It will be interesting to see how much he could cost but Liverpool should have the finances to back Klopp in the winter window.
Getting the right person in could mean a trophy coming to Anfield, and hopefully, Klopp breaks his duck with the Reds this season.
