Liverpool are keeping tabs on 20-year-old Serbian striker Luka Jovic, according to Bild (h/t Mirror). The Eintracht Frankfurt striker is on loan from Benfica for a couple of seasons and has started this campaign in blistering fashion.
The forward has 12 goals for the Bundesliga side from 15 appearances and even managed five in Frankfurt’s 7-1 demolition of Fortuna Düsseldorf a few weeks ago.
The youngster’s form has also attracted the attention of Barcelona, as per the report. Jovic certainly is having a great time with the Bundesliga club and they are above Bayern Munich in the table in the fourth spot.
The Reds didn’t purchase a striker in the off-season with Jurgen Klopp using Daniel Sturridge as cover for Roberto Firmino.
The Merseyside giants also have Dominic Solanke waiting in the wings to play games while youngsters such as Ryan Kent and Harry Wilson are out impressing on loans.
Jovic could be a decent signing to have in the team and the 20-year-old can only get better under our manager.
Klopp knows the Bundesliga rather well, and he could use Jovic’s time in the league to gauge his quality.
