Cardiff City are interested in signing Liverpool right-back Nathaniel Clyne on a loan deal, according to WalesOnline (h/t Mirror).
The 27-year-old former Southampton star has just one appearance to his name for the Reds this season, with that coming in the Carabao Cup.
Clyne has seen his time limited on the pitch due to the rise of Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez.
Cardiff have struggled to keep teams from scoring as they have conceded 25 goals from just 12 games. The right-back would add some Premier League experience to the side, and the move would does make some sense for the Englishman as he would get regular games for the Bluebirds.
The Reds do not have any other senior right-backs in the side but if we let Clyne leave in the winter window, there are a few Liverpool stars who can do the job.
James Milner has played at left-back and could do a job as a right-back if needed. Similarly, summer signing Fabinho has experience of playing as a right-back even though he is a midfielder like Milner.

It would make sense for us to keep the player and ensure there is adequate cover for Alexander-Arnold. However, if Clyne was allowed to leave on loan, he would not be a huge loss to the side.
