Aaron Ramsey Liverpool

German football expert Raphael Honigstein isn’t sure that Aaron Ramsey is joining Bayern Munich from Arsenal.

The Welsh midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season with the Gunners, and Liverpool (h/t Daily Star) have been linked with a move for the 27-year-old.

Ramsey would be permitted to discuss terms with foreign clubs in the winter window, however, we could sign him on a free come the end of the season.

Honigstein told the Totally Football Show (h/t Express):

“I’m not entirely sure that this is coming to pass.

“I am just not sure the demand for an Aaron Ramsey type of player is that acute at the moment.

“It might just be an opportunistic move, but I should stress that in Munich, which is famously leaky when it comes to these transfer stories, we’ve not really seen that name mentioned at all before or since the news broke in England that an agreement is imminent or has been made.

“So I’d still treat this story with a bit of caution.”

Liverpool could do with someone like Ramsey in the side and with Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain already on our books, there is an Arsenal link in the team.

The Reds have several options for their midfield but Ramsey would provide us with added depth in the side, and a different element in the team.

There would be many suitors for the Welsh midfielder and it will be interesting to see where he lands up next season.
