Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has provided an update on Neymar and Kylian Mbappe. The pair was injured for their national sides during the break, and the German claimed the pair would return to training on Monday.
Liverpool can qualify for the next round of the Champions League if they beat the French side, and not having the pair playing would certainly be a huge boost for us.
Tuchel was quoted by the Liverpool Echo saying:
“I am more optimistic than yesterday about Ney and Kylian.
“They will be able to train on Monday.”
Liverpool beat the French side in the reverse fixture at Anfield 3-2 and another win would certainly make things easy for us.
We would not have to worry about a result against Napoli, which is the final game of our Champions League group.
The Reds have been poor in their away games in Europe, and we need to change things on Wednesday.
Liverpool defeated Watford 3-0 at Vicarage and hopefully, we can tap into that second half performance from Saturday.
The Reds will have a full-strength side to pick from in midweek, and hopefully, we won’t have to think about the game against the Italian side to seal our progress into the next round.
