Liverpool are monitoring the progress of Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele, according to the Mirror.
The 21-year-old French midfielder had a great season last time around and has started this campaign with a number of incredible performances.
The midfielder was part of the Lyon side that defeated Manchester City earlier in the Champions League, and the Frenchman has two goals and four assists to his name for the Ligue 1 giants.
The report adds that Manchester City and Arsenal have kept their eyes on the 21-year-old while Everton have scouted the Frenchman four times in recent months.
Ndombele is one of the best deep-lying midfielders in the Ligue 1 and it comes as no surprise that many clubs are keeping tabs on the Frenchman.
The 21-year-old could be a decent addition to our side but we already have several midfield options in the team.
Fabinho and Naby Keita were signed at the start of the season while James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum are having fantastic campaigns under Jurgen Klopp.

Ndombele would find it hard to get regular starts at Anfield but we can always invest for the future. The Reds made some sizeable signings during the summer with Xherdan Shaqiri, Alisson, Fabinho and Keita joining, and it will be interesting to see what we plan for the winter window.
