Paris Saint-Germain face Liverpool in a huge Champions League encounter on Wednesday, but L’Equipe (h/t Mirror) claims that the French champions will use this meeting to open talks for Fabinho.
The Brazilian midfielder only joined Liverpool at the start of the season but hasn’t been that impressive. The 25-year-old was a star for Monaco before joining the Reds, and the report adds that Thomas Tuchel, the PSG manager wants to add another midfielder to his side.
The German was speaking earlier in the season and was quoted (h/t Mirror) saying:
“We must have a third central midfielder to play in 4-3-3 or a three-man defence.
“It’s necessary.”
PSG have the money to spend in the winter window and it will be interesting to see if they make a bid for Fabinho in the coming weeks. The Brazilian needs time to bed into Liverpool and could turn out to be a similar story to that of Andy Robertson.
The Scot couldn’t displace Alberto Moreno initially as he came to terms with our play but has been undroppable for a few months now.

Fabinho is a quality signing and has a couple of decent outings to his name for the club this season. The Brazilian just needs a few quality performances in a string of consecutive games, and it would be best for the club to decide on his future at the end of the season.
