Former Liverpool star Craig Bellamy believes the Reds will have an extra boost in their final Champions League game as they play at home.
Liverpool lost their third away game of the group after succumbing to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain.
The defeat pushed the Reds to third in the group, but a 1-0 win over Napoli or a win by two goals will be enough to take us into the next round.
Speaking on the Debate (h/t Daily Star) believes Anfield’s European night atmosphere will come to the fore once again:
“The special nights that this club has been able to recreate time and time again at this special ground gives you hope straight away.
“This Napoli team is a very good team with a lot of very good footballers, but it is Anfield – and the Napoli players will be aware of that as well.”
Bellamy touched upon our shocking loss at Red Star Belgrade and claimed that was always going to cost us in the Champions League group.
The former Wales striker believed we did well in the game but PSG had stars such as Neymar and Kylian Mbappe who were always going to be tough opposition.
The former Red lamented on the tough group handed to Liverpool but was certain Anfield would be a huge factor regarding who goes into the next round.
“It’s very rare you get three teams of the quality of Napoli, PSG and Liverpool all in the same group.
“I knew it was going to be a tough ask, but I have a lot of confidence because it’s Liverpool and they are at Anfield.”
Liverpool first half to play Everton in the Merseyside derby on Sunday and that won’t be an easy game either.
