Mohamed Salah might not be banging in the goals like he did from last season but the Egyptian is racking up the awards.
The Liverpool star was named the Football Supporters’ Federation’s (FSF) Men’s Player of the Year for 2018 and collected the award on Monday.
The Liverpool website carried a report which claimed that our forward topped a six-man list which included teammate Virgil van Dijk, Sergio Aguero, Harry Maguire, Eden Hazard and Raheem Sterling.
The 26-year-old was pleased with the award and this time dedicated it to the fans:
“Thank you for this award, it means so much to me because it was voted for by supporters.
“Usually I share any awards with my teammates and all the staff at Liverpool, but on this occasion I would like also to dedicate it to the Liverpool fans for their incredible support. Thank you.”
The report claims that Salah is the third Red to pick up the award after Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho.
The former AS Roma star has nine goals and three assists from all competitions for the Reds, and will hopefully find the back of the net in our next clash against Burnley.
