Liverpool summer signing Fabinho has stated that leaving Anfield isn’t on his mind and he is happy at the club.
The Brazilian didn’t feature prominently for us since signing from Monaco, but has played more games in the past month or so with his latest start coming in the Merseyside win over Everton.
The 25-year-old told UOL (h/t Daily Mail) that he was willing to wait for his chance at the Reds, and isn’t looking to leave after being linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain (h/t Daily Mail).
“I was told there was something in the press, but I never said I’d like to leave Liverpool.
“I knew I would need to have patience to wait for my moment. I’m happy at Liverpool. There is no reason for me to leave.”
The Brazilian was bedded into the Liverpool system by Jurgen Klopp, and even though our manager wasn’t giving away when the midfielder would play, Fabinho shared that he just kept on working hard.
“He didn’t give me a lot of explanations but I talked in training so I wouldn’t be discouraged and to stay focused on my work, without letting my head drop.
“I knew it was a passing moment. I didn’t keep moaning and crying. I tried to work because I knew opportunities would come. Now I just want to increase my number of games.”

The summer signing looked a little off the pace when he first played for us but has been much better in recent games. Fabinho was great in the derby and if he survived that game, there is no doubt he can be a star for the Reds in the coming seasons.
