Liverpool and star player match records after crucial 3-1 win over Burnley

Alisson might not have kept a clean sheet in our 3-1 win over Burnley, but the Brazilian did tie a record for Liverpool.

The Metro reports that the keeper is undefeated in his first 15 league games for the Reds and equalled the record held by another South American, Javier Mascherano.

The Argentine was brilliant in the midfield under Rafa Benitez, and the report claimed that the Reds broke another record.

The result meant that Liverpool have had their best ever start to a league campaign (h/t Metro). Having conceded just six goals from 15 games, we tied (h/t Metro) the record of least goals let in at this stage with Chelsea (2008-09) (2004-05), Arsenal (1990-91) and Manchester United (1985-86).

Alisson had a huge role to play in the win and came up big in the dying minutes of the tie. We were leading 2-1 when Burnley got a corner and almost scored.

The Brazilian jumped high to stop a header from going into the top left corner, and a few seconds later, he launched a counter with an immense throw.

Daniel Sturridge put Mohamed Salah through before the Egyptian found Xherdan Shaqiri. The Swiss star made no mistake and gave us the third goal of the game.
