Naby Keita didn’t get a goal in the 3-1 win over Burnley but he was our brightest player on the park. The summer signing has struggled with various injuries this season and hasn’t started too many games but he looked quality against the Clarets.
Liverpool have missed a midfielder who can run with the ball and link well with the attackers, something that Keita is known for.
The Reds started without any of their fab three, but Keita was the lone bright spark in the team. Once Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino came on, the Guinea midfield seemed to play a lot more, and even saw an effort saved brilliantly from Joe Hart.
The 23-year-old didn’t record a goal or an assist in the win but he was named the Man of the Match, and many Liverpool fans shared their praise for the midfielder.
What a player! What a club! Immense!

Let’s take a moment to appreciate just how good was Naby Keita last night. Unlucky not to score yet. Showed glimpses of what he is capable of. Imagine him playing alongside the likes of Fabinho, Wijnaldum and Shaqiri with our front three🔥🔥🔥#NK8 #LFC #LFCFamily #YNWA pic.twitter.com/YawIMHSSIu

Hopefully Keita can kick on from tonight because he’s exactly what we’ve been missing all season. Someone with drive & who can beat a man in midfield. Him & Fabinho need a run of games in midfield #LFC

Another reminder of why we purchased Naby Keita tonight. Sensational ball carrier and moves everyone forward. Nearly got the goal he deserves too. Wonderful wonderful player. #LFC

Watching Naby Keita do Naby Keita things in an LFC kit feels better than I ever hoped it would.
