Liverpool have spoken with Paris Saint-Germain regarding French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, according to L’Equipe (h/t Mirror).
The 23-year-old will be a free agent at the end of the season and even Barcelona are interested in the midfielder, as per the report.
The report adds that the Catalan giants have contacted PSG over Rabiot, but so have Liverpool, despite Jurgen Klopp signing Naby Keita and Fabinho over the summer.
Rabiot is unhappy with his wage at the French club, as per the report, and he earns £55,000-a-week which is lower than what some of the other stars earn at the Ligue 1 giants.
The report adds that the 23-year-old is considering his options in the winter window because he will be free to speak to foreign clubs.
We could be given a bit of a boost in procuring Rabiot’s signature as the report adds that PSG are not interested in letting him sign for Barcelona after relationships between the teams soured following Neymar’s move.
The report adds that we haven’t put in a formal bid yet, and it will be interesting to see our plan in the coming months.

The Reds have signed players on a free under Jurgen Klopp with Joel Matip joining from Schalke. Further, we signed Keita a season early before he joined the Reds, meaning there could be the scope of something similar with the Frenchman.
