Pascal Gross has emerged as an option for Liverpool for the January transfer window, according to Liga Financial (h/t Devon Live).
The 27-year-old former Ingolstadt midfielder was fantastic for Brighton & Hove Albion last season with seven goals and eight assists in the Premier League.
The German hasn’t been as prolific this season with just one goal from eight appearances, but the report claims that Jurgen Klopp wants to add an attacking midfielder to his side and has been impressed by the former Bundesliga star.
The report adds that a bid of £15million would be enough to see the Seagulls star set off for Anfield.’
Gross certainly would be a decent addition to the team but we can’t see him anything other than a squad player.
Liverpool have several options for their midfield but they are lacking someone who can thread the ball and unlock the defence.
The German is also excellent when it comes to set-pieces and dead-balls, but there is competition for that role too as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Xherdan Shaqiri and James Milner can do more than a decent job.
Liverpool lead the Premier League over Manchester City by one point after 16 games, and signing the right players in the winter window could push us closer to Premier League glory.
