James Milner to start at right-back? – Predicted Liverpool line-up to face Manchester United

The big game is here as Liverpool play Manchester United on Sunday. The Premier League leaders would stay on top of the table if they beat the Red Devils, and we are in fantastic form.

We haven’t lost in the league this season while United are 16 points behind us after just 16 games. However, the Red Devils cannot be taken for granted and these huge matches are often decided with a bit of luck.

Liverpool won their previous Premier League game 4-0 against Bournemouth thanks to a Mohamed Salah

hat-trick. The forward has to be in electric form for us to defeat Jose Mourinho’s side.

The home side do have some defensive problems with Joe Gomez and Joel Matip out, and here is our predicted line-up for the Reds.

Predicted Liverpool XI

Formation: 4-3-3

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Alisson (GK)

The Brazilian pulled off one of the great saves against Napoli and will look forward to keeping a clean sheet against United too.

James Milner (RB)

Trent Alexander-Arnold is doubtful for the game, and we could see Milner filling in as the right-back.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

With Gomez and Matip out, Dejan Lovren should start on Sunday.

Virgil van Dijk (CB)

The best defender in the world needs to have a fantastic game, and hopefully, lead us to a win.

Andy Robertson (LB)

Robertson was responsible for a goal against Bournemouth and was excellent in the win over Napoli. The Scot has to start and could be up against the quick Marcus Rashford.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutch midfielder should start for us on Sunday as we look to beat United.

Jordan Henderson (CM)

It would be a bit of a surprise if the captain is dropped from the clash, and hopefully, he has a great game for us.

Naby Keita (CM)

Keita has looked great in recent weeks and should start on Sunday as his runs could cause havoc in the United defence.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane was woeful with his finishing in midweek, and it will be important for him to be composed in the box against the Red Devils.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

Liverpool are yet to see the best of Firmino, but he should play down the middle on Sunday and create problems for United.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

Salah seems to have found his scoring boots after four goals in the previous two games and has to be at his best on Sunday too.
